Ford hands in steep January U.S. sales drop
The US Auto industry NEEDs to sell roughly 16M cars per annum to function without assistance. The recent slowdown has brought production down to the 10M level. That is a GIANT gap to fill with a consumer which is in savings mode.
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Ford Motor Co. on Tuesday reported a 42.1% drop in January U.S. sales, pinning the blame on a big pullback from its fleet customers and saying its retail business has stabilized since the swift retreat last fall.
